The Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh, on Saturday, discussed with the Chairman of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, the Bureau's working mechanisms and the challenges it faces, in addition to ways to improve oversight performance and efficiency of public funds management.
During the meeting, the two parties discussed ways to develop oversight work in line with the highest professional standards, with the aim of enhancing financial integrity and serving the public interest in the management of state resources.
The importance of the official reports issued by the Bureau and their role in promoting the principles of transparency and accountability was also emphasized.
