The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Libya has provided food assistance in cooperation with the Red Crescent and the Zakat Fund to more than 10,000 people affected by what it described as armed confrontations in three different locations in the country.

On its Facebook page Monday, the ICRC clarified that latest assistance was provided during the past three days to widows and people with special needs in a number of neighbourhoods of the city of Sabha.

The ICRC has confirmed its commitment to provide more humanitarian assistance in various parts of southern Libya.
