The spokesman for the Misrata Security Directorate, Mohammed bin Alamin, confirmed that they are to set up an investigative team to follow up the assassination of Misrata Mayor, Mohammed Shtewi.
Alamin called on the Municipal Council and city dignitaries on Monday evening in a joint press conference, to cooperate and stand with them in the fight against illegal activities, adding that investigations into the assassination are ongoing.
Misrata Municipal Council confirmed that they will continue to strive to achieve peace and will not back down from serving the city, while their spokesman, Osama Badi announced that important information was obtained regarding the assassination of Mohamed Shtewi that should lead security services to the perpetrators of the crime.
