The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity announced the resumption of work of the Indian Embassy from its headquarters in the capital, Tripoli.
According to the ministry’s statement, the resumption of the embassy's work included the consular section for granting visas to Libyan citizens and following up on the conditions of expatriate Indian workers.
This came during a meeting with the Director of the Department of Asian and Australian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nouri Al-Kaseh, with the Chargé d'Affairs of the Indian Embassy in Libya, Mohammed Aleem.
The two sides expressed their countries' desire to activate friendly relations and cooperation in all fields, which is considered an important step for both countries, according to the Foreign Ministry's statement.
