Interior Minister of the Presidential Council, Abdul-Salam Ashour, met with the Indian Minister of Home Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, and his accompanying delegation, who are currently visiting Libya.

Ashour expressed Libya's desire to welcome all Indian companies operating in Libya to resume their work and to regain the diplomatic representation of India in Libya.

He praised the mutual relations, which are based on mutual respect and common interest, especially in the field of security, according to the information office of the Ministry of Interior.

Ashour also assured the Indian minister that the security situation in Tripoli and its outskirts are ready for the return of Indian companies and the embassy to work from inside the capital.
