The Ministry of Interior has condemned the aerial bombardment of Misurata International Airport, which resulted in the injury of a staff member and the damage of two civilian aircraft, in addition to other material damage to its facilities.

"The air attack on the airport constitutes a criminal offence, punishable under national and international laws," the ministry stated, denying the news broadcasted by a pro-Haftar media outlet that the attack targeted a drone antenna. It confirmed that the airstrike hit a power generator and a light pole at the airport.

It further called on international bodies and the UN mission to document these crimes and the attempts of specific media outlets, to justify them.
