The Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry, Mahmoud Saeed, held on Tuesday an expanded security meeting grouping the commander of the security directorate support force in the regions, the assistant director of security at Tripoli International Airport, the director of the Security Affairs Office in the port's administration, and the head of the Security Operations Management Office.

A statement by the Interior Ministry said that discussions focused on issues related to securing Tripoli International Airport and the companies executing the maintenance work to ensure they carry out their tasks successfully, according to security procedures supervised by the Ministry of Interior.

The Undersecretary stressed the ministry's desire to activate the work at Tripoli International Airport, as he urged concerted efforts and security cooperation to safeguard the airport and the capital.
