Interior Minister Imad Trabelsi held talks with Stephanie Koury, the UN Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs, on Tuesday to discuss recent political and security developments in the country.
The meeting, which took place in Tripoli, focused on enhancing cooperation between the Interior Ministry and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL). Trabelsi reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting both security and political processes within the framework of legal and institutional legitimacy.
He also stressed the importance of maintaining national sovereignty and stability, particularly through implementing security arrangements tied to the ceasefire and ensuring safety across Tripoli and other regions.
