The United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Egypt and Turkey, have held a meeting to discuss the situation in Libya, under the slogan “Reinvigorating Libya's Political Process Towards a new Electoral Roadmap”.

During the meeting, which lasts for two days in the United Kingdom, the participants confirmed support for the efforts of the new UN envoy, Abdoulaye Bathily, to foster Libya’s elections.

The Special Envoy for Libya of the Italian Foreign Ministry, Nicola Orlando, said in a tweet, “we encourage the relevant Libya institutions and actors to finalize the necessary constitutional and legal requirements without delay, and to work together to overcome divisions”.
