The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has called on the international community to act quickly to meet the urgent needs of Sudanese refugees in Libya.
The IRC added in a statement on Thursday that taking immediate and comprehensive measures is crucial in light of the continuing increase in the number of refugees, in order to prevent further deterioration of living conditions and alleviate the growing humanitarian crisis.
It also reported that over 70% of Sudanese refugees face inadequate housing, contributing to economic instability and limiting access to essential services, with many spending more than half their income on rent.
