Italian company to install new air traffic control tower at Mitiga airport

The Airports Authority of the Ministry of Transportation has handed over a construction site to an Italian company to build a new air traffic control tower at Mitiga International Airport.
According to state-owned Libyan News Agency, the Ministry clarified that the Italian company will be tasked with implementing an integrated tower, which includes all modern air navigation equipment and devices, noting that the project is expected to take eight months before being handed over to the Civil Aviation Authority.
