An Italian delegation has conducted an inspection visit to the restoration and maintenance work of the Rawaq Al Karama building (Gallaria di Bono) in the capital, Tripoli.
The delegation included the head of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Italian Embassy, the director of the Italian Trade Agency office, the head of the Libyan-Italian Chamber of Commerce and the representative of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
The delegation inspected the historic building and reviewed the plans and designs prepared for the maintenance and restoration of the site.
The Ministry of Local Government said that it has been agreed, during a working lunch, to establish a mechanism for permanent joint cooperation between all these institutions, in a way that serves the interest of historical buildings in Libya.
