Italian Interior Minister, Luciana Lamorgese, has stated that migration flows to the Italian coasts from Libya, Tunisia and Algeria have been in steady decline since last November.

During a hearing before a parliamentary committee, Lamorgese revealed that about 437 migrants arrived from Libya during the current month, which represents less than a third of the number of arrivals in the same month last year 2021, while no one has taken the migration route from Tunisia and Algeria in the past two months, according to the Italian Nova News Agency.
