The Ministry of Education has decided to teach the Italian language in Libya as an optional subject for high school students starting from the 2022-2023 academic year.

According to the Italian Nova news agency, a new batch of trainees, around 30 teachers, from different regions in Libya, will soon begin training at the Italian University of Siena for foreigners.

On August 23, the Minister of Education, Mussa al-Maqryif, accompanied by the deputy ambassador of Italy in Tripoli, handed over certificates to 60 new Italian language teachers in Libyan secondary schools, after receiving in-person and remote training at Ca'Foscari University in Venice.

Education
