The President of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy, Lara Boldrini, said Libya and Italy’s agreement on immigration was wrong as it was done without measures to guarantee the rights of the immigrants.

Aki reported Boldrini as criticizing the work stance of the Interior Minister Marco Minnitti on immigration, saying that the fact that immigrants are not arriving in Italy because they are being sold like commodities “did not leave me at ease.”

“Libya detention centers are controlled by human traffickers as well, and some of them sold immigrants.” She added.
