The Italian newspaper ‘La Stampa’ has confirmed the existence of American efforts to protect the oil crescent region from armed conflict.

The newspaper pointed out that the American administration is seeking to disarm those vital areas, in order to resume production and export operations.

It added that Haftar has fears of losing control of the region.

The USA, warned on Sunday, through its embassy in Libya, that it intended using sanctions and isolation on all those who seek to undermine the Libyan economy, and those who insist on military escalation.
