Italian authorities announced on Friday that Libya`s current situation is one of their main priorities in their monthly presidency of the UN Security Council.

Italian media outlets reported that the Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano will chair two sessions of UNSC in presence of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and his Special Envoy to Libya. The first session will discuss international issues and the Libyan situation, while the other one will discuss security challenges in the Mediterranean.
