The Italian Foreign Ministry has announced appointing Pasquale Ferrara as a special envoy to Libya.

Italian news agency, Nova, said Thursday that Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio appointed Ferrara to be Rome's special envoy to Libya.

Nova news agency said the special envoy will be representing Italy in all initiatives related to the political process in Libya as part of Rome's support for peace and stability in the country.
