The Italian Ambassador to Libya, Gianluca Alberini, has confirmed his intention to increase the number of entry visas to Libyans and to facilitate procedures for enhancing cooperation between the private sectors in both countries.
Alberini's remarks came during a meeting with Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah at his residence in Rome on Friday, in the presence of Libya's Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Adel Jumaa, and Libyan Ambassador to Italy Muhannad Younis.
For his part, Dbeibah stressed the depth of relations between the two countries and the role of the two embassies in consolidating cooperation and partnership by providing services, facilitating procedures, and following up on the issues agreed upon in the Tripoli and Rome talks.
The PM had started an official visit to Italy on Wednesday, which saw the signing of agreements in various fields and meetings with prominent political and economic officials in the Italian government.
