Italian Deputy Foreign Minister, Marina Sereni has warned of any new military escalation in Libya, especially around Tripoli, "The situation in Libya is still very disturbing as it represents Italy's main international file," Sereni said.

She explained that the contacts made by Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio and Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte with the leaders of the countries concerned with Libyan affairs, prove the urgent need for the international community to reach a ceasefire and stop the interference of external actors, especially those providing militarily support, which surely is not in the favour of Libya's stability, according to Aki news agency.
