Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto has stressed the importance of stabilizing Libya, considering it essential, according to the Italian news agency Nova.

Crosetto's remarks came in a briefing before the joint foreign and defense committees in the Italian House of Representatives and Senate. He said that so far, they have achieved very little compared to the efforts made in Libya, referring to the various missions in which Italy will participate in Libya in 2023 at the national, international and European levels.

He also reaffirmed Rome's readiness to manage and coordinate the reunification of the Libyan armed forces, when conditions allow.
