The Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Koury, has said that Libyans can build upon the agreement on the Central Bank of Libya in order to solve other problems such as unifying state institutions and going to general elections.

Koury described the agreement as a "positive, excellent and necessary step to resolve the Central Bank crisis," calling on the High Council of State and the House of Representatives to work to appoint a governor and deputy for the bank.

She praised the contribution of the two houses and the presence of other parties to the agreement, according to a statement in a video clip distributed by the UN mission.
