The Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Koury, has reviewed with members of Libyan Liaison Committee between the House of Representatives and the High Council of State, the economic conditions and agreed on the need for accountability and good governance of state resources.
Both sides discussed ways to advance a Libyan-led political process, facilitated by the UN with international support, to address the current impasse.
“We also discussed the fragile security and ongoing human rights concerns, where the Committee members expressed their keenness to work with UNSMIL engaging all Libyan actors”, Koury said on her X platform page.
