The head of the High National Electoral Commission (HNEC), Imad Al-Sayeh, discussed with the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Jan Kubis, present developments in the electoral process and the acceleration in the pace of the executive stages, as polling day approaches on December 24, along with the international community’s interest in the progress achieved in this regard.

The HNEC, on Wednesday, quoted Kubis as confirming the support of the international community through the United Nations, along with the steps taken by the commission towards the voting stage and a pledge to commit and stand firmly by the Libyans to achieve their aspirations towards the desired democratic state of Libya.
