The General Electricity Company has announced that power supply was restored to the city of Kufra at a rate of 70% of the total loads after charging the 132 KV Kufra transformer station at 11:24 on Friday.
Power restoration followed the General Electricity Company move to send technicians to carry out maintenance work in the city affected by the floods, confirming that work will continue to repair the remaining faults on some other lines.
After last week's rain in Kufra, the electricity network was severely damaged, cutting off power supply to the city.
