The Algerian League for the Defence of Human Rights (LADDH) has condemned the kidnapping of an Algerian citizen in the city of Al-Ajilat, in western Libya, by a militia loyal to Haftar.

In a statement, the LADDH urged the Algerian authorities to intervene immediately and pressure the concerned parties in Libyan to release the Algerian citizen.

LADDH has indicated that it had addressed Algeria's foreign ministry, the security authorities, and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya about the incident, according to the statement.
