The Ministry of Interior's Law Enforcement Force has announced the arrest of 70 irregular migrants of various African nationalities during desert sweeps.
The sweeps included desert valleys and the dirt paths leading to them, and were carried out by Border Guard patrols operating within the Joint Security Room in Mizdah, according to a statement issued by the department.
The statement indicated that the migrants were treated according to humanitarian standards and provided with the necessary assistance before being transported to the headquarters of the Joint Security Room, pending their referral to the competent authorities for necessary legal action.
