Lawmaker Ahmed Chihoub dies at the age of 67

A member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Benghazi, Ahmed Chihoub, died on Wednesday morning, following a short illness, which caused his passing at the age of 67 years.
A member of the HoR, Abu Bakr Saeed, offered condolences for the deceased, saying that Chihoub was one of those who was cherished in Barqa, one who left an impression and honorable history for his family and his city.
He added, in a post on Facebook, that Chihoub was considered one of the wise national figures who supported peace and reconciliation and his love for Libya shone through his work, defending the country’s unity, whilst he held many important and honourable positions throughout his career.
