The Ministry of Finance announced on Friday that Minister of Finance, Khaled Al-Mabrouk met with the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nicaragua on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington.
During the meeting the two ministers signed an amending copy of the agreement scheduling the debt owed to Libya by the Republic of Nicaragua to ensure its recovery. The agreement provides for settling the remaining debt in equal semi-annual installments.
The Ministry of Finance also reached an agreement with its counterpart in Montenegro on settling the balance of a loan owed to Libya worth four million dollars, to be paid before this year’s end.
