The Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Al-Hweij, and Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development, Samir Ebeid, chaired a meeting of the Libyan-Tunisian Joint Economic Committee in Tripoli to address trade challenges and boost economic cooperation.
The meeting focused on resolving obstacles to bilateral trade, enhancing logistics and border infrastructure, and overcoming difficulties faced by businesses and investors in both countries.
Discussions also highlighted the need to unify technical standards and conformity certificates to support food and pharmaceutical security. Both sides committed to creating a joint action plan to establish stronger partnerships between Libyan and Tunisian businesses and industries.
