Libya participated on Sunday in the activities of the "The Summit of the Future" in New York City with a high-level delegation headed by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Taher Al-Baour, the Minister of Youth Fathallah Al-Zani, and Libya's ambassador to the United Nations Taher El Sonni".
The media office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that the participation came within the framework of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, adding that it was in the presence of the Chairperson of the United Nations General Assembly, and the Secretary-General of the United Nations. It added that during the session, the Charter for the Future was adopted by consensus.
The participating delegation announced the attendance of the Head of the Presidential Council Mohammed Menfi on Monday in this summit, saying he will deliver Libya's speech on the challenges facing the country and the peoples of the world, in addition to how to transform those challenges into opportunities for construction and peace.
