The Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation, Ali Al-Abed, held talks on Wednesday with the Chinese Chargé d'Affaires in Libya, Wong Chi-Sen that focused on bilateral cooperation in the field of employment, training in vocational skills, and other areas.

The two sides discussed the role that the Libyan Chinese Center could play in training and qualifying job seekers in Benghazi, including providing courses for Chinese language and advanced technology through the Huawei Academy, with which the ministry signed a memorandum of understanding.

For his part, the Chargé d'Affaires affirmed his country's desire to deepen cooperation with Libya in the fields of job opportunities and employment.

He said his country would encourage and support Chinese institutions to invest in Libya, which would provide job opportunities and contribute to developing the Libyan economy, noting that all this depends on the facility the Libyan government provides for the Chinese companies.
