The Libyan Office of the Attorney General's Criminal Research and Training Centre has concluded the third session of a project aimed at enhancing maritime safety and security in Libya, focusing on tackling organized crime.
The initiative, organized in partnership with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and the EU Mission to Libya, saw participation from 12 members of Libya's criminal justice system, including law enforcement and judicial representatives, along with international experts.
The workshop addressed internal monitoring mechanisms and reporting processes within maritime safety management, while participants discussed best international practices and the importance of cross-border cooperation to combat maritime crime.
