The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity has condemned the anti-Islam remarks made by the media official of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in India, against the Prophet Mohammed - Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH) - in which he verbally attacked the Prophet’s wife Aisha.

In a statement issued on Monday, the ministry called to consolidate the values of tolerance and coexistence, discard violence and hate speech, and respect the monotheistic beliefs and religions.

The Libyan Fatwa House called on all Muslims to boycott India, describing the offensive remarks as an announced war on Islam and Muslims as well as a systematic policy for ending the presence of Islam in India.
