Minister of Transport and Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mohammed Al-Shahoubi, has held a meeting in Tripoli with Andrew Torre, Visa's Regional President for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, and his accompanying delegation.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Transport, the two sides discussed prospects for joint cooperation, particularly in the areas of technical support for financial systems and the development of government e-payment solutions, in line with the trend toward digitizing services.
They also discussed Visa's contribution to supporting and modernizing the telecommunications infrastructure, with the aim of strengthening the digital payment system and achieving a qualitative shift in financial services within Libya.
