‎The Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation, Nicola Orlando, discussed with the Libyan Ambassador to the EU, Jalal Al-Ashi, the issue of cooperation in the fields of aviation, energy, health, in addition to immigration and border management.

‎During the meeting in Brussels, Orlando stressed the EU's commitment to deepening coordination and cooperation with Libya in other fields, including higher education, educational and cultural exchange, and stressed that the partnership between the EU and Libya was based on respect for sovereignty, human rights, public freedoms, and the rich Libyan culture and traditions.

‎Orlando also congratulated Al-Ashi on the implementation of the first phase of the municipal elections, which took place on Saturday in 58 municipalities, considering it an important milestone in the country's democratic path.
