A Libyan delegation from tourism companies conducted an exploratory tour of Trabzon, Giresun, and Gumushane provinces to assess the tourism potential of the Eastern Black Sea region in Turkey.
Organized by the Turkish group Kranfil, the delegation met with Giresun Mayor Fuad Kose, Trabzon Mayor Ahmed Kanj, Trabzon Governor Aziz Yildirim, and Gumushane Governor Albiar Tanriser to discuss strategies for boosting tourism in the region.
The talks included plans for a twinning protocol between the municipalities of Trabzon and Tripoli and promoting Trabzon tourism in Libya.
Kranfil highlighted Trabzon's advanced tourism infrastructure, noting a 38% increase in local and foreign tourists last year, aiming to attract more Libyan tourists as part of this initiative.
