The Libyan Consul General in Istanbul, Salahadin Al-Kasih, met with the Libyan crisis team to follow up on the conditions of Libyan nationals stranded in some of the earthquake-hit areas in southern Turkey.

Al-Kasih said they are following up on the Libyan families in the affected areas confirming their continued efforts to evacuate them to safer places.

A statement by the consulate said Al-Kasih instructed the crisis team to follow up on the conditions of citizens around the clock and to issue data and announcements periodically.

He urged citizens to contact the emergency numbers published on the official consulate page and to follow the safety measures issued by the Turkish government.
