The Ministry of Interior has announced stepped-up patrol operations along its borders with Tunisia and Algeria as part of efforts to bolster security in the region.

In a statement released on its official Facebook page, the ministry reported that the Desert Security Sector patrols in Gharian conducted extensive sweeps across areas stretching from Al-Hamada Al-Hamra to the border triangle connecting Libya, Tunisia, and Algeria.

The ministry emphasized that the move is part of a broader strategy to strengthen border security and crack down on illegal activities in desert regions, with the aim of protecting Libya’s borders and promoting regional stability.
