The Libya International Forum for Mental Health kicked off on Tuesday, in the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister-designate of Health, Ramadan Abu Jannah, and a number of health care officials and psychologists at the Ministry of Health.
In a speech during the forum, Abu Jannah stressed the importance of mental health as an essential part of individual well-being and community stability, and its pivotal role in promoting economic and social development.
He pointed to the government's commitment to developing health policies and strengthening local and international partnerships, announcing initiatives including integrating mental health services into primary health care centers and preparing legislation to classify psychologists as medical professions.
Health
