The Chief of Staff appointed by the Presidential Council Brigadier-General Abdulrahman Al-Tawil met with his Italian counterpart, Claudio Graziano in Rome on Saturday.
The talks developed around the cooperation between the Italian and Libyan armed forces and the common will to strengthen the capabilities of the Libyan forces to achieve stability throughout the state, in addition to combating criminal organizations, terrorist networks, and human-trafficking, according to the Italian news agency ANSA.
The Italian Chief of Staff said that "the Italian armed forces are ready to support the Libyans when applied for by the Libyan authorities and after the approval of the government and parliament in Rome".
