Libyan and Malta have disclosed plans to hold an awareness forum on investment opportunities in partnership with the Libyan municipalities to achieve integrated local development.

The issue was on the table at a meeting in Tripoli between Minister of Local Government Badr Al-Din Al-Toumi, and Maltese Ambassador to Libya Saliba Charles on Monday.

The talks focused on cooperation in local administration, environmental sanitation, solid and liquid waste management, and training programs related to improving municipal services.

The two sides also discussed creating genuine partnerships between the Libyan and Maltese municipalities in the service, cultural and sports fields in a way that contributes to deepening the relationship between the two nations.
