The Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Mabrouka Toghi, and the Maltese Ambassador to Libya, Charles Saliba, discussed on Monday the promotion of cultural exchange between the two countries.

A statement by the ministry said they reviewed plans to exchange cultural delegations and organize artistic performances in Tripoli.

Toghi emphasized the depth "of historical relations" between Libya and Malta and stressed the need to develop them in various forms of cultural and artistic creativity.

In conclusion, a cultural memorandum of understanding was inked between the Libyan and Maltese ministries of culture.
