The Libya Oncology Conference, organized by the National Cancer Control Authority, kicked off on Saturday. The conference is considered to be the first step towards real transformation in combating cancer in Libya.

The conference was attended by Chairman of the National Cancer Control Authority, Haider Al-Sayeh, along with a large number of Libyan, Arab, and foreign doctors and experts specializing in oncology, according to a post on the Authority's Facebook page. 

The Authority explained that the first day witnessed a "fruitful scientific atmosphere," including specialized lectures that discussed the latest developments in tumor diagnosis and treatment methods. It also opened avenues for dialogue and exchange of experiences among participants, contributing to the development of national medical personnel.
