A delegation of the Libyan Ministry of Social Affairs has participated in the preparatory meeting of senior officials for the 44th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, which was held in the Bahraini capital, Manama.

The meeting includes discussions of a number of pivotal topics, most notably disability issues, support for productive families, and preparations for the World Summit for Social Development and the Global Disability Summit, according to the ministry’s statement on Facebook.

The meeting resulted in the selection of Libya as a member of the Executive Council of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, in addition to agreeing to host Libya for a high-level symposium on implementing the Arab Strategy for the Elderly, as part of the activities of the Arab Fund for Social Action.
