Tahir Al-Baour, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the ministerial meeting of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) held in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.
In his address, Al-Baour emphasized the importance of leveraging Japanese expertise in education and human capacity building to keep abreast of technological advancements.
He highlighted the Government of National Unity's efforts in sustainable development, particularly through the initiation of the "Return to Life" project. In closing, he expressed gratitude to the Japanese government for its support in maintaining stability in Libya.
The meeting serves as groundwork for the upcoming Africa-Japan Summit scheduled to take place in Japan next year, with the goal of harnessing Japanese educational and capacity-building expertise.
