The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has confirmed the return of three illegal migrants of Mauritanian nationality to their country after being rescued at sea off the Libyan coast.
In a Facebook statement, the ministry confirmed that it had finalized procedures for the return of the Mauritanians on Tuesday, in the presence of the Chargé d'Affaires of the Mauritanian Embassy in Libya, Mohamed Ould Lamine.
The three Mauritanians are in good health, and arrangements are being made for their return home once the necessary procedures are completed, the ministry noted.
