The Director General of the National Centre for Disease Control, Badr Al-Din Najjar, said Saturday that the Centre's stores have run out of the children's routine vaccination, pointing out that the Medical Supply Agency has not imported any of these vaccinates yet.

Najjar explained in a press statement that there is a significant shortage of all vaccines in all regions, stressing that they have addressed the Medical Supply Agency several times to provide them with the vaccinations needed, especially that the lack of them could threaten the health security of a large group of society.

He added that the lack of a budget is hindering the work of the Centre, limiting its role from combating diseases to just providing technical advice to municipalities facing different and dangerous ailments.
