Libya is looking to strengthen its partnership with the European Union in training and workforce development, as the country navigates economic challenges and a shifting labour market.

In a high-level meeting on Wednesday, Minister of Labour Ali Al-Abed met with Libya’s Ambassador to the EU, Jalal Al-Ashi, to discuss collaboration on training programs aimed at enhancing worker skills and digital transformation in Libya’s labour sector.

The discussions also addressed illegal migration and its impact on the Libyan job market, with both sides exploring joint initiatives to support economic stability and workforce integration.

Libya’s labor market faces ongoing challenges due to economic fluctuations, migration pressures, and the need for digital modernization.
