The Presidential Council member, Abdullah Al-Lafi, received on Wednesday officials from the Swiss Foreign Ministry, including the head of the Peace and Human Rights Department at the ministry, Ria Qihring, and the director of the North Africa Program in the department, Kiara Fote, besides the Humanitarian and Cooperation Counselor at the Swiss Embassy in Libya, Jonas Ga.

Talks focused on developments in the national reconciliation project, human rights, illegal immigration, and the Libyan government's efforts to limit these phenomena in cooperation with the European Union.

For their side, the Swiss delegation affirmed their country's continued support for the Presidential Council and its efforts to make national reconciliation a success as a path towards stability in Libya.

The two sides reviewed their cooperation in human rights and illegal immigration, as the swiss delegation anticipated that collaboration on these sides with Libya will come to fruition.
